My Number 1 Strategy for Permanent Weight Loss

I have worked with many women and men over the last 22 years, motivating, supporting and assisting with health, fitness and weight loss.

I want to share with you what I believe is the Number 1 strategy that I know makes changing STICK!

But before I share that with you

Does this sound familiar?NewDiet

You have the BEST intention of changing your health and fitness.

You do the research; make a decision about the direction you are going to take, whether it is a new GYM membership, a different weight loss program or the latest trend such as the 5:1 Diet.

Feelings of excitement set in.

You get organised.

You buy the food required, set a start date and have thoughts of when you are going to be fitter, smaller, toner.  Not long before all your clothes are going to fit you again!

This time you are going to NAIL it

Week 1: Excited

It’s Monday and you start

Day 1 completed!

Day 2 completed and feeling great.

Day 3 feelings of I can do this.

Day 4, 5, 6 and 7 are a breeze and you start to feel a little different – maybe more energy, a spring in your step and feeling a little lighter than just 1 week ago.

Week 2 … Grhhh..

You were not as organised this week with buying the right food. A couple of hiccups during the week set you back, maybe family commitments, visitors, sickness or super busy times at work!

FrustatedDietWeek 3 … Frustration!

There does not seem to be enough time in the day, the scale is not showing the results as fast as you would like and organising food, new exercise routines and muscle soreness is starting to take its toll!

Week 4 … Old habits creep back in!

You roll over and decide you might just sleep in this morning instead of getting up to exercise.

Surely a treat or two won’t hurt?

Before you know it, you have kicked your new routine and replaced it with your old routine.

This lasts until you decide to make change once again – which could be 1 month, 3 months, 1 year or 5 years

Are you sick of the merry go round of on a DIET, off a DIET?

It is simple BUT it does require your commitment and practice.

I can almost hear you saying Yes I get that BUT things ALWAYS get in the way for me!

I get it. Life is full of tricky situations which is why PRACTICE , PRACTICE, PRACTICE is so important. PracticeChange

Lets face it, the wheels will fall off, I guarantee it!

BUT that does not mean you cannot be successful.

People who are successful in permanent change, are consistent! They Stand up, brush themselves off, get back on track and start again and again and again UNTIL new habits become just habits!

I promise you the more you practice, the easier it becomes and YOUR NEW HABITS suddenly become your old habits!

Imagine feeling out of sorts if you missed your exercise session?

Feeling sluggish and sick when you started to eat junk food.

It won’t happen over night but it will happen!

My wish for you in 2015 is that you PRACTICE consistency in achieving your health and fitness goals and experience the feeling that comes with great health and fitness.
