The most common question I am still asked is How Do I Lose My Belly Fat?

Of course there is the typical answers I give …



  1. Are you losing Lean Muscle Mass?
  2. Are dehydrated?
  3. Are you on a DIET?

These 3 things (along with several others) will slow down your metabolism and we know what that means, increase fat, probably around your middle!

But what if I told you that research has now discovered another reason you may not be losing BELLY FAT?

FrustatedDietAll the rage is STOP-eating carbs, isn’t it? And if you have tried it, you will agree that you DO lose weight.

But do you lose FAT?

Chances are you are merely losing water.


Losing fat is a science.

Let me share with you HOW you get the BEST results, which of course are LOSE FAT, keep muscle and tone and maintain hydration.

You may be surprised to discover…

For EVERY gram of carbohydrates you consume on a daily basis, your body will hold nearly 3 grams of water

Read that last sentence once again quickly so it “sinks” in.

So if you just cut carbs, the scale might trick you into thinking that you’re losing a bunch of weight — and you are.

UghBUT – it’s water weight, NOT fat.

Sorry. You’re just dropping a bunch of water.

I can almost hear you saying

“Great! So what is the answer?”

The answer is to eat the right carbs at the right time along with the right exercise and turn your body into a fat burning furnace!

What are the right carbohydrates?

Low GI of course. Foods that sustain energy over a longer period of time. Dump anything white out of your food intake including sugar, white flour such as white breads, cakes, pastries etc. and dump alcohol. Replace with quality carbs such as green fibrous vegetables, good quality bread, lentils, oatmeal and grains

Low GI carbohdratesWhen is the right time?

Eat your carbs Meal 1, 2 and 3 (except green fibrous vegetables which are unlimited) and more than likely you will burn them off with the energy you are using throughout your day.

How much?

Unlimited green fibrous vegetables.

The size of your palm for complex carbohydrates.

Portion control is essential to weight loss.
